About PPMA
Pacific Pearl Music Association (PPMA) was established in 2009 as a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching communities through musical performance and instructional programs.
PPMA operates three vibrant sub-groups:
Our membership comprises individuals from diverse professional backgrounds, united by a shared passion for the arts. Each sub-group practices at least twice a month and serves the community throughout the year with performances at local events and venues across the Greater Los Angeles area.
Through collaborative leadership and dedicated instruction, PPMA has continuously expanded its capabilities and enhanced performance quality. We warmly welcome new members interested in participating in any of our three performance groups.
Our Mission
"To enrich and nurture the community through music performance and education."
Pacific Pearl Music Association (PPMA) is a non-profit organization established in 2009 in Thousand Oaks, California. We draw members from diverse professional backgrounds who share a passion for preserving and sharing Chinese cultural heritage through the performing arts.
Our organization comprises three unique ensembles—YangSheng Choir, Thousand Oaks Chinese Folk Ensemble, and Thousand Oaks Dance Ensemble—each meeting regularly and performing throughout the year in local and Greater Los Angeles area events.
What We Do
We provide high-quality traditional and contemporary musical experiences for diverse audiences, from intimate chamber performances to large-scale concerts at venues like Fred Kavli Theatre.
We offer opportunities for volunteer and pre-professional musicians to develop and maintain their musical skills through orchestral, choral, and chamber performances in a supportive community.
We collaborate with local organizations to enrich public and private occasions, bringing cultural celebrations to Mid-Autumn Festivals, Chinese New Year galas, and community events throughout Southern California.
